Today on the blog we're taking a trip down memory lane with a drastic kitchen remodel we completed a year ago. This prefabricated house was purchased by a lovely couple who wanted to make a home they could live in for years to come. They initially thought a small facelift with new paint and hardware was what they wanted but they quickly changed their minds when we started discussing how important it was to have a well designed space they could cook in, not to mention how kitchen remodels effect home value.
Progress shots:
After gutting the kitchen to the studs, we slowly started rebuilding from the ground up. Linoleum was replaced with vinyl wood plank flooring. We swapped out all their outdated appliances with new stainless steel ones. Tall shaker style cabinets were installed to visually enhance ceiling height and add more storage. The dreadful laminate countertop was quickly disposed of and a new Corian counter was installed along with a matte white subway backsplash.
