Humble Sea Taproom

Humble Sea Brewery evolved in the redwood groves tucked up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Garnering more attention and acclaim for their craft beer, the three founders decided to take the leap into a brick and mortar business in 2016.

Stripe was approached to design the interior and outdoor lounge and dining area for the taproom. The structure they were moving into, once an office building, required a massive overhaul to transform it into the bar the partners had dreamed of showcasing their product in. Informed by their playful branding designed by one of the founders, Stripe included subtle nautical references through the interiors to create the perfect backdrop for their seaside beer service. The outdoor lounge and dining area is generously sized and allows them entertain twice as many people in the space on sunny afternoons (of which Santa Cruz has many). The exterior is enlivened with on-brand deep blue paint and cedar outdoor furniture and fencing.
